Frequently Asked Questions
About the group
What is Ovik Technical Services?
It is the parent company of a group of specialized firms, operating as a single umbrella over five companies: Arena Marketing for integrated marketing, Surla Business for consulting and company formation, Up Hangar for metal hangar construction, Aula Property for real estate consulting and marketing, and Digitala Code for technology and digital solutions. The aim is to give clients one point of contact for services they would normally source from several suppliers. Read more about the group.
Can I work with just one company rather than all of them?
Yes. Each company operates fully independently in its field and can be engaged on its own. The advantage of the umbrella shows when a project needs more than one specialism — one party handles coordination instead of you coordinating several suppliers.
Which markets do you operate in?
The group is based primarily in Syria, and our teams' experience extends to other regional markets depending on the service. The best way to confirm for your location and project type is to contact us directly.
Do you have a company profile document?
Yes — the unified profile is available to download in Arabic and English from the contact page.
Working with us
How does the engagement process start?
In three steps: first an initial conversation to understand your need and its scope; second, defining that scope in writing with the relevant company along with the expected deliverables; third, a quotation and timeline for approval before execution begins. No delivery work starts before a written agreement on scope.
How long does it take to get a quotation?
It depends on how clear the scope is. Standard requests can be estimated quickly, while projects needing a site visit, requirements analysis, or Technical study need a scoping stage first — and that stage saves far more time and money than it consumes.
Do you offer an initial consultation?
Yes. An initial consultation to understand the need and identify the right company within the group is part of the first contact stage. You can send your project details through the form and we will route it to the relevant team.
How are projects involving more than one company managed?
One coordinator is assigned as your single point of contact, responsible for organising work between teams and sequencing the stages. You follow the whole project through one party, not company by company.
What are your payment terms?
They vary by service type and project size, and are set out in the quotation before work begins. Long-running delivery work is usually scheduled in instalments tied to clear delivery milestones, not to the passage of time alone.
Company-specific questions
Marketing: do you work with small companies and new brands?
Yes. For new brands we usually begin with the strategic foundation and identity before any advertising spend, because advertising before the message is clear consumes budget without lasting effect. More in our guide to building a brand identity.
Formation: do you handle the full procedure or only advise?
Both are available: advice on choosing the right legal structure, or handling registration, licensing, and periodic follow-up on your behalf. The full path is described in our company formation guide.
Hangars: what determines the price of a steel hangar?
The main factors: area and clear span between columns, clear height, the design loads adopted (wind, snow, and crane if present), cladding and insulation type, the corrosion protection system, and then the scope of works included (foundations, floor slab, doors). Each item is explained in our steel hangars guide.
Real estate: do you provide certified valuation reports?
Yes, and the valuation includes a clear methodology, comparable data, and a justified price range — not a single number with nothing behind it. More detail in our property valuation and marketing guide.
Technology: do I own the code after handover?
This is a clause we set out in writing in the proposal before starting, and we advise every client to ask any supplier to clarify it. We also recommend the client hold the code repository and the credentials for hosting and domain. See our custom software development guide.
